David Lewis (born March 6, 1971) is a Republican member of the North Carolina General Assembly representing the state's 53rd House District since 2002. His district includes most of Harnett County. Lewis is serving or has served on the Committees on Agriculture, Education, Education Subcommittee on Community Colleges, Election Law and Campaign Finance Reform, Finance, Insurance, Judiciary 3, Military and Veterans’ Affairs, and Transportation.[1] He is the co-owner and salesman at Quality Equipment, LLC. He resides in Dunn.
Lewis was first elected in the 2002 elections.[2] In his tenure, Lewis has received the Distinguished Service Award from the Dunn Jay Cees, was recognized for Service to the Organization by the ALS Foundation, and received a Service Award from the American Kennel Club[1] Lewis is currently a National Committeeman for the North Carolina Republican Party.
Lewis graduated from Campbell University where he served two terms as Student Body President.[1] He is married with three children.[1]
